Bengaluru | Senior RSS Pracharak Na Krishnappa died at Keshavakrupa, RSS State Headquarters here today.
He was 83. Na Krishnappa was serving as RSS Pracharak since 1954, suffering from age-related illness since a few months.
The body will be kept for public view for some time and will be donated to KIMS Medical College, according to a release here.
Born in Mysuru in 1932 as the second son of Narasimhayya and Savitramma, Na Krishnappa had completed his Degree in Samskirt BA Honors. He was RSS Swayamsevak duirng his college days.
In 1975 Na Krishnappa lead anti-emergency movement in Mangaluru Vibhag, which was one of the most strongest protest in India, as recorded by writers on anti-emergency movement. Krishnappaji was jailed in Mangaluru Jail.
Na Krishnappa was the guiding force for several new concepts of Sangh initiatives in Karnataka. ‘Maneye Mangalya’, a book on values of Hindu Families, guided the genesis and growth for instiitutes like Veda Vijnan Gurukulam, Prabodhini Gurukulam, Maitreyi Gurukulam, Kannada monthly magazine like Aseema etc.
He had groomed thousands of Karyakartas of Rashtreeya Swayamsevak Sangh in South Indian states like Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
