Kalpetta | India A will play South Afria A in the first four-day international unofficial test at the high altitude Krishnagiri stadium in the hilly Wayanad district of Kerala tomorrow.
The statidum, owned by Kerala Cricket Association and opened in December 2013, hosts the first international competition. Both the teams arrived to a warm reception at Muthanga on Kerala-Karnataka border last evening.
Former India Captain and India A coach Rahul Dravid accompanied the side. Put up at a private resort in Vythiri, the teams were at the nets at the stadium today.
Selectors Roger Binny and Ratinder Singh Hans and others are expected to reach the venue to watch the match. Ambati Rayudu will lead the India A while De Villiers will spearhead the Proteas’ challenge.
The second 4-day ‘Test’ at the same stadium will begin on August 25.
