Kannur | BJP national working committee member and former state unit President P K Krishnadas today said CPI(M) workers hurled bombs at the house of BJP Kannur DIstrict President K Renjith with the knowledge and consent of CPI(M) state and district leadership.
CPI(M) was unleashing violence across the state as a mission to prevent the BJP from faring well in the forthcoming local body elections, he alleged, adding that CPI(M) was conducting anti social and progress politics in Kannur district. In the last two days they even looted 20 sovereigns of gold from the house of one Mohanan, a BJP worker at Azhikode on August 29, he alleged, talking to newspersons.
Mr Krishnadas alleged that CPI(M) and Congress had set up an unholy nexus. So CPI(M) was unleashing sporadic violence across the state.
CPI(M) workers ahad ttacked nine houses of BJP workers and four of them were set on fire, he alleged and added CPI(M) had started the violence in Azhikode after alleging that BJP workers attacked the CPI(M) Neerkadavu office. Actually the office was attacked by two DYFI workers Shamjith and Saneesh following a fight, and BJP has visuals of the attack. He also handed over the CD’s in this regard to newspersons Later, CPI(M) had orchestrated sporadic violence to divert attention at Azhikode as also the bomb attack on BJP district President’s house.
Mr Krishnadas also alleged that police were not doing their duty in Kannur district at the instance of the ruling Congress.
