Kannur | BJP national working committee member and former Kerala unit President P K Krishna Das today alleged that CPI(M) was trying to disturb the Sree Krishna Jayanthi (SKJ) celebrations on September 5.
He told newsperons here  that CPI(M) was organizing parallel function and a procession in the district in the name of Valedictory function of Onam  celebrations on that day.
He alleged Balagokulam had been organizing Sree Krishna Jayanthi procession for the last 40 years.
BJP welcomes the CPI(M)’s Sree Krishna Jayanthi celebration . However, he alleged that on one hand CPI(M) was  accepting the Lord Krishna as God and on the other  it was playing the role of Kamsan. So they better organize Kamsan celebration, he added sarcastically.
Mr Krishna Das also charged that CPI(M) was trying to stop the processions of  ‘Balagokulam’.  As part of this they have sought permission from  police for Onam Valedictory procession in an attempt to confuse the police. However,  hundreds of women and children, including those from CPI(M) families will take part in the ‘Balagokulam’  procession in the district on September 5.
Meanwhile,CPI(M) district Secretary P Jayarajan said at a press conference today that a  special function will be organized on Ashtami Rohini day on Sepetmebr 5 in various temples.  But CPI(M) was protesting only against the BJP/RSS move to create anarchy  in the name of caste, religion and devotion.
He also alleged that RSS was organizing a political procession on Sree krishna Jayanthi and Sree Narayana Guru Jayanthi days in the name of Hindtuthva. The CPI(M) was trying to expose their real face before the public .
Mr Jayarajan also said the DYFI, Balasangham, Mahila and renaissance organizations of Left had been organizing Onam celebrations from Agust 25 till September 5 in Kannur and the valedictory procession and a public meeting will be held on Septmebr 5 at various places.
