Kozhikode | Central leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party will not sit idle if attack on its activists continued in politically sensitive Kannur district of Kerala, Party Chief Whip in the Lok Sabha Arjun Ram Meghawal today said.
Talking to reporters, Mr Meghawal, who was here to create awareness on the proposal to push through the Goods and Services Tax (GST), he said Union Home Ministry should take action on the continuing violence in the district. Apparently hesitant to talk more on the issue he said ”Law will take its own course.”
It may be recollected that Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had visited the district following the murder of RSS activist Elamthottathil Manoj, allegedly by CPI (M) activists, in September last year.
Accusing the Opposition parties, including the Congress and the CPI (M) for disrupting the Lok Sabha proceedings continuously,  Mr Meghawal said he would conduct a public meet here on the GST to create awareness on the issue.
They (Opposition) wanted to disrupt the proceedings on the pretext of Lalitgate issue linking External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, he added.
