Dhyan Srinivasan and Namita Pramod are delightfully combined in the film set ‘Adi Kapyare Koottamani’, their debut together as hero and heroine.
Dhyan starts to talk about his new avatar. “Through this film I got a heroine. Actually, this is my third film. But in the first two films prior to this, my character had no heroine”.
Namita is enthusiastic to promote him. “Yes, I accept privilege as the first heroine of Dhyan. I was the heroine of his brother Vineet in the film ‘Ormayundo Ee Mukham’”. Malayalam cinema’s pretty damsel Namitha Pramod played the lady love of Vineeth Sreenivasan in ‘Ormayundo Ee Mugham’.
“When I was with Vineet Srinivasan in the movie ‘Ormayundo Ee Mukham’, my height was a problem. I had to adjust a lot to cope with the situation. But with his brother Dhyan who is tall enough such a problem does not arise”. Namita has carved herself in the mood of the film ‘Adi Kapyare Koottamani’ which is a romantic comedy.
Namita’s debut is Traffic directed by Rajiv Pillai. Her debut heroine’s role was with Nivin Pauly in the film ‘Puthiya Theerangal’ directed by Sathyan Anthikad. Though her role was appreciable, the film couldn’t hold attention as much as expected. She is happy to share her experience in films like Pullippulikalum Attinkuttiyum, Law Point, Sound Thoma, Vikramadityan.
The character Lakshmi in ‘Adi Kapyare Koottamani’ is unique from other roles she had done. Her next project is ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ a Comedy Thriller film directed by former mimicry artist Nadirshah. The film will have Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jayasurya, Indrajith Sukumaran etc.
Dhyan’s first movie was directed by his elder brother Vineeth Sreenivasan. Dhyan is in a rejoicing mood as he is in the company of a comfortable crew for the third time. Aju Varghese and Neeraj Madhav acted in the movie ‘Kunjiramayanam’ with Dhyan. “With them I find comfort to do comedy scenes.
“My brother is a role model for me. His suggestion and opinion are more valuable to me than anything. But not much discussion about films, while we are home”. Dhyan adds.
‘Adi Kapyare Koottamani’ revolves around a men’s hostel, and showcases life inside a typical hostel. The events which occur when a girl happens to enter one such hostel constitute the plot. It is a hostel run by Christian missionaries and hence the title.
‘Adi Kapyare Koottamani’ is the joint production venture of Carnival Motion Pictures and Friday Film House. The film is directed by debutante John Varghese.
