Raseena did not expect such a marvelous feedback from the readers when she scribbled lines which she believed have the depth and warmth of love. The number of poems to her credit, has now crossed 1500. Because of religious reasons she has had lots of shortcomings in life. By tackling all the hurdles with her will and skill, she came to the forefront.
She works as a teacher in Mancheri Government Girls Higher Secondary School. Her anthology ‘Vazhthappedatha Murivukal’ released last month. It contains 150 poems. Their quality and depth were attracted by many. Within one month itself all the copies sold out. This anthology spells the depth of love as it feels.
She had her inspirations from the poems by Jalaluddin Rumi and Soophy poems. She is an adorer of the late Kamala Surayya. The library in the village Karulayi in Nilambur has a pivotal role in moulding the poet in Raseena.
Her paternal uncles were the persons encouraged her to befriend letters. She won literary contests in School youth festivals. In between she attained excellent academic achievements too. She has post graduations in Politics, Psychology and Arabic literature. Her husband, Dr. Saitalavi, Principal of Mancheri Unity College, is her staunch supporter. He took the initiative to publish her work. Though she was very active on the internet behind the name ‘Ishal Pookkal’ years ago, she did not reveal her true identity.
Now she plans to publish nearly 1500 poems, scribbled in different times. Preparations are going on to release an anthology in CD format also.
