Thiruvananthapuram | Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan today made it clear that the BJP is emerging stronger in Kerala day by day at the cost of the Communist Part Of India, Marxist CPI(M) and theCongress which failed to live up to the expectations of the people.
On his arrival from New Delhi after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president
Amit Shah yesterday, Mr Natesan, who represent the powerful Ezhava community that accounts for 60 per cent of the Hindu population in the state, said there is a scope for a third front in Kerala politics. ”We are ready to cooperate with anyone. Both the Congress and the CPI(M) that ruled the state for the past several decades are following a minority appeasement policy.
In this circumstance, there is nothing wrong if majority community emerges as a political force,” he said, brightening the prospects of the BJP in Kerala where the saffron party failed to win any Assembly or Lok Sabha seat so far. For the past several decades, Kerala’s highly bipolar political scene sharply swings between the Marxist-led Left Democratic Front and Congress headed United Democratic Front.
Though it managed to come out with a spirited performance in a few constituencies, the BJP was struggling to get an entry into the political space of Kerala so far.
