New Delhi | Energy major Tata Power was awarded the Porter Prize for excellence in corporate governance.
The company was commended for its outstanding performance driven through excellence in corporate integration, superior board room performance and exploring the synergies between different business divisions and governance mechanisms, a statement from the company said.
The Porter Prize India is a prestigious award named after Michael E Porter, professor at Harvard Business School and leading thinker in the field of strategy. Nearly 30 companies were shortlisted across the eight award categories and the event was attended by top industry leaders, thinkers, and senior executives from corporates, government.
Organised by Institute for Competitiveness, India, the Porter Prize 2015 in its fourth edition, identified the best corporates across various segments for their exemplary work.
