Online marketing is a new realm of learning for retired professor Sudha Balachandran. Her online shop http://templejewellry.com provides a marketplace for those looking for the traditional Tamilnadu temple Jewellery art forms. About two years back, she started online marketing under the brand ‘Alamkritha’ that followed a success story.
“Commodity online is less priced compared to the open market. This is the main attraction of online marketing to people. But we should be very sincere and honest. Most of the customers may be strangers to us, not even once we have met them. Our behaviour to others should be attractive and pleasant, then only the customer will feel comfort in mingling with us”.
According to her, online marketing is very strong now a days. She spends most of her time in online business and through that she keeps herself engaged. This is one of the best fields for those who wish to do business. Women can come forward with confidence to this field.
“As a Professor, I know the attitude of students very well. Students do like their teachers who show affection to them. The nature and behaviour of a teacher, of course, will influence the students. A teacher should always be a good friend to her student to whom, a student can share everything. The student should feel more comfortable in a teacher’s company. Really, I am blessed with many loving students. Now also they approach me and they always find comfort with me”.
Sudha was Associate Professor of Malayalam at St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam. She retired from service in 2009 and after that conducted a show of Temple Jewellery. She is a native of Nagarkovil, in Tamilnadu and currently staying in Panampilly Nagar, Ernakulam. Apart from online business, she is active in literary works and painting.
