New Delhi | After setting the box office in India and abroad on fire, the Salman Khan starrer ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’ is making waves on the international film festival circuit.
Superstar Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which deals with the story of Bajrangi who helps to unite a small girl stranded in India with her parents in Pakistan, was an instant hit with the global audience at the 20th Busan International Film Festival.
According to its director Kabir Khan, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’ got a standing ovation at the Busan film festival in South Korea where it was screened on Tuesday night.
The biggest audience ever…#BajrangiBhaijaanInBusan 5000 people…Standing ovation…Amazing energy here, Kabir posted on Twitter. The film was screened on Tuesday at the film gala, which began on October 1 and will culminate on Saturday.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan has won audience applause as well as critical acclaim. The film, which released on Eid, has grossed over Rs 300 crore in India.
The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and child artist Harshaali Malhotra. The applause for ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’ at Busan came after an overwhelming response to Hansal Mehta’s ‘Aligarh’ at the film festival earlier this week.
