Thrissur | The management of a local college here today decided not to take any action against the woman lecturer who had courted controversy by supporting ‘beef festival’ at the Kerala Varma college here.
M P Bhaskaran, President of the Cochin Devaswom Board, which manages the college, said that today’s meeting discussed the lecturer Deepa Nishanth’s explanation and decided not to take any action against her. The meeting also felt that the lecturer did not create any rift among the students through her Facebook post supporting the ‘Beef festival’, which was organised by the SFI to protest against the Dadri lynching.
Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala today termed as politically motivated the controversy over ‘beef festival’ at a college campus run by Cochin Devaswom Board in Thrissur district and asked the college authorities not to act against a lecturer who supported the event.
