Patna | The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) clinched clear cut edge over its rival Mahagathbandhan recording early lead in 67 seats out of 124 trends available for the 243 state assembly.
The NDA registered lead ever since the counting started. The JD(U) lagged behind with lead in 54 seats while others were leading in three seats.
The Bihar campaign spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah for the NDA appears to have reaped rich poll dividends at the hustings.
Though the trends are early, but the mood in the BJP camp is upbeat. The Grand alliance (GA) leaders, pinning hopes on the fluctuating fortunes during the counting, said they would ultimately clinch the deal.
