New Delhi | Former media entrepreneur Peter Mukerjea has been brought to the city by the CBI in connection with its probe into the murder of his step-daughter Sheena Bora and may be subjected to forensic tests. A team of officials of the Special Task Force of the agency escorted him from Mumbai here this morning, CBI sources said.
The sources remained tight-lipped about the reasons which triggered this sudden move but confirmed that Mukerjea will be further examined here. The agency may carry out a lie-detection and brain mapping test on Mukerjea which is available at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory.
Mumbai also has a small scientific aid unit of CBI which also carries out polygraph test but it is not elaborate in terms of facilities available here. Sheena (24) was Indrani’s daughter from an earlier marriage.
Sheena’s mother Indrani Mukerjea, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and her former driver Shyamvar Rai have been charged by CBI for the her murder that took place in April 2012 and are in judicial custody in Mumbai.
