Kozhikode | BJP Kerala unit president V. Muralidharan has made a statement justifying SNDP Yogam President Vellappally Natesan’s controversial remarks on the government aid to Naushad, who died while trying to save two laborers in a sewage canal manhole in Kozhikode last week.
Muralidharan said the government’s action registering a case against Vellappally was discriminatory. The SNDP leader’s words were distorted, according to him.
Vellappally did not criticize Naushad but Oommen Chandy, Muralidharan said, adding that the Chief Minister announced aid to the late auto driver’ s family on the basis of religion.
Aluva police have registered a case against Vellappally for his comment regarding Noushad as per IPC Section 153-A, for promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion.
