Congress leader Digvijay Singh has accused the BJP of using the National Herald case to vilify the Congress party.
In a scathing attack on twitter against the ruling party on Saturday, ahead of the appearance of party president and vice president in the Patiala House Courts connection with the case, the former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister said, “BJP-RSS combine have always considered Nehruvian ideology and Nehru Gandhi Family as biggest threat to their growth.”
Security has been beefed up in the Patiala House Court premises with Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi set to appear in the court. According to party sources, the Congress is open to avail all legal remedies and options, including seeking a bail in the case.
Congress MPs will meet at 12:30 pm at AICC head-quarters in New Deli to finalize the party’s strategy in the National Herald case.
