Thiruvananthapuram | Cherian Philip has apologized for his role to pull down former Congress leader K. Karunakaran as Chief Minister.
He made the apology in a comment posted on Facebook marking the fifth death anniversary of the ‘Leader.’
He explains that he is doing so because he is being haunted by guilty consciousness over this heinous act 20 years after it occurred.
Those who opposed Karunakaran at that time should regret over it, Philip added.
As part of group politics during 1994-95, ‘A’ group launched a campaign to tarnish Karunakaran in the public by depicting him as A spy and anti-national. Those who submitted charge-sheet against Karunakaran to the Congress High Command and organized public meetings state-wide demanding his resignation should repent over their actions at least now, says Cherian Philip.
