New Delhi | LPG consumers in the country were greeted in the New Year with the bad news of Rs 49.50 hike in the price of non-subsidized LPG cylinders.
The second price hike in a month in the common man’s main fuel for cooking will cost a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder for domestic use Rs 673. 50.
Also, the price for LPG cylinders for commercial use was hiked by Rs 79. The revised price will be Rs 1278.50, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) said Friday. The new price came into effect on January 1, 2016.
This is in addition to the union government’s decision to exclude tax payers earning an annual income of more than Rs 10 lakh from gas subsidy.
