Thiruvananthapuram | State Vigilance has reported fraud worth 80. 30 lakh rupees in the micro finance scheme run by SNDP Yogam.

This was stated by Vigilance Legal Adviser at Vigilance Court in Thiruvananthapuram Wednesday, while the court was considering a petition filed by Opposition leader V.S. Achuthanandan alleging corruption in the micro finance scheme.

V.S. had alleged irregularities amounting to 15 crore rupees. The Legal Adviser said the fraud was found in an investigation it carried out on the basis of the complaint by V.S.

The Court asked Vigilance to submit the results of a confidential inquiry on the alleged scam.

The Court will look in detail into V.S. Achutanandan’s complaint on January 11.

The Backward Communities Development Corporation has not yet verified transactions of 2013-14 period in the micro finance scheme.

Achuthananadan alleges in his complaint that SNDP has availed loans on lower interest rates from the Corporation and distributed them at higher rates to its customers.
