Kannoor | Thalassery District Sessions Court has dismissed the anticipatory bail petition of CPM Kannoor District Secretary P. Jayarajan in the Kathiroor Manoj murder case.

Principal Sessions judge V.G. Anilkumar denied the anticipatory bail Tuesday saying that it cannot be granted since he is not indicted in the case.

Jayarajan approached the court seeking anticipatory bail after CBI sent a notice to him to be present for interrogation in connection with the Kathiroor Manoj murder case.

Jayarajan sought anticipatory bail saying that CBI is likely to arrest and harass him.

CBI first sent a notice to Jayarajan to be present for interrogation on January 4. But he requested the court to grant him a week’s time to recover from illness.
