Thiruvananthapuram | Disciplinary action has been taken against four police personnel in connection with the attack on former Indian diplomat and the Vice-Chairman of the Kerala State Higher Education Council, T.P. Sreenivasan.
The former Indian Ambassador was manhandled by SFI activists Friday when he arrived at the venue of the global education meet held at Leela Hotel in Kovalam.
IG of Police (Southern Range) has ordered one Sub Inspector and three civil police officers to undergo one year’s mandatory training.
Sreenivasan, who fell down in the unexpected attack, had told media that a few policemen who were present at the scene did not try to save him from the attackers.
