Thiruvananthapuram | Congress leader Rahul Gandhi says only Congress can defeat itself in elections in Kerala, not CPM.

Addressing KPCC Executive Committee here Wednesday, the Congress Vice President told party’s state leaders that now is not the time to fight but join hands to ensure UDF rules for another 5 years.

In a dig at the infighting between splinter groups in the party, Rahul said let all the leaders set aside their differences for the time being, and may re-start them after winning the election so that he will return to Kerala to listen to their grievances.

Rahul began the speech by criticizing BJP. He accused the party of winning many elections by flaring up Hindu-Muslim communal emotions.
