Kochi | The Thalassery additional sessions court on Friday remanded CPI (M) Kannur district secretary P. Jayarajan, the accused in Kathiroor Manoj murder case, for one month.

Jayarajan will be imprisoned at Kannur Central Jail till March 11.

Earlier in the day, Jayarajan surrendered before the court after Kerala High Court refused to entertain his anticipatory bail petition.

The High Court Thursday allowed the CBI plea for maintaining charges against Jayarajan under UAPA.

Jayarajan went direct to the court on Friday morning after he was discharged from Pariyaram Medical College Hospital, where he was under treatment.

He told media outside the court on Friday that the case against him was the result of a conspiracy by the RSS with the support of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
