New Delhi | CPM Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has denied Vellappaly Natesan’s claim that he held talks with LDF and UDF leaders.
Talking to media here Wednesday, Kodiyeri challenged the BDJS leader to reveal the name of the leftist leader with whom he held discussions.
He made it clear that there is no relevance of such a talk in the current context.
Vellappally’s stand is opportunistic politics, he added.
Bharat Dharmajanasena had earlier i indicated a change of attitude regarding its policy on political alliance ahead of the Assembly elections.
Vellappaly Natesan had said that the new political outfit does not have untouchability with any party.
“The days of principles-based politics are over. Now it’s more practical to adopt a line of opportunistic politics and slogans,” he told reporters in Kollam.
The SNDP Yogam General Secretary said he held talks with LDF and UDF leaders.
Vellappally said Tuesday that Bharat Dharmajanasena will not contest the upcoming Assembly elections as part of a BJP-led political front. But at the same time, the party plans to take advantage by making seat adjustments with BJP, he told a private news channel.
