Thiruvananthapuram | A number of prominent leaders of Joseph faction in Kerala Congress (M) have held talks with CPM leadership in what is seen as a move to join Left Democratic Front.
In an interview with a private news channel, Francis George said confirmed reports that there are intense differences of opinion in the party. He revealed that Do. KC Joseph MLA, Antony Raju MLA and himself held talks with LDF leadership, which in turn hinted its doors will open if the faction leaves UDF.
Although the rebel leaders say they are dissatisfied over the party’s inaction on rubber price crisis and other key farmers’ issues, the new move is seen as a bargain strategy to get 6 seats for Joseph group in the upcoming Assembly elections.
