Thiruvananthapuram | CPM Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan, who is under remand in the Kathiroor Manoj murder case, was discharged from Sri Chitra Institute of Medical Science in Thiruvananthapuram. He left for Kozhikode Medical College by Garibrath Express under tight police security.
Jayarajan, who was shifted to Sri Chitra Institute last week for expert treatment, was discharged following medical report that he is medically fit.
He will be admitted to Kozhikode Medical College on medical advice that he should be under observation of doctors.
From there, Jayarajan will be taken to Kannoor, reports say. Thalassery District Sessions court will consider tomorrow a CBI request to release him to their custody. Jail authorities will submit a report to the court tomorrow stating that Jayarajan is medically fit.
