Kochi | Normal life was affected in Ernakulam district Friday following strike called by joint action council of private bus workers demanding implementation of revised minimum wages.
Hundreds of passengers had to wait for hours in bus stops awaiting limited number of KSRTC buses, which operated additional services.
Despite the absence of private buses, the roads were filled with two wheelers and four wheelers that took thousands to their destinations.
Government had postponed state school examinations scheduled for Friday in the wake of the bus strike.
