Thiruvananthapuram | Kerala Congress (Jacob) chairman Johnny Nellore has resigned as chairman of Oushadhi in protest against insult the party faced in seat sharing talks.
He told media here on Friday that he will not take part in further seat sharing talks. The move comes after Congress refused to allot Ankamali seat to the UDF allied party.
Johny told reporters that the UDF leadership insulted him during the hour- long meeting yesterday. They did not mention a single word on the party’s demand for 4 seats in the upcoming Assembly polls. UDF is not making its stand clear on giving the sitting seats of Kerala Congress (Jacob), Johny said.
However, asked about his future course of action, Johny replied: “As a Christian, I remain optimistic.”
