Malappuram: Two people were killed and many others injured when a tipper lorry rammed into a procession that was being held as part of a festival in a temple in Edappaal in the wee hours of Saturday.
The victims were identified as Ammu and Bineesh of Kalloopparamb. Both are relatives.
A sand-filled lorry rammed into the procession and then hit a tree. The driver of the lorry was said to be dashing to evade checking by police. Police arrested the driver.
