Kottayam | Kerala Congress (B) leader R. Balakrishnapillai has made it clear that he will not be contesting the upcoming Assembly elections.
Talking to media here Saturday, the veteran politician clarified that his dissatisfaction over not getting a seat in Kottarakkara is not behind this decision.
Pillai said the LDF leadership had earlier insisted on his candidature but he said ‘no’ to them.
I had a lengthy and successful political career. And it has now reached a saturation point, he told reporters.
When asked if Kerala Congress (B) has demanded the Pathanapuram seat for his son B. Ganeshkumar, Pillai replied that the party has no insistence over seat allocation.
