Thiruvananthapuram | BJP President Amit Shah has sought the support of the people of Kerala to bring BJP to power, so that the killing of several RSS-BJP workers by CPI (M) in the state can be stopped.
Amit Shah was speaking to reporters here Wednesday night while visiting a private hospital where three BJP workers are undergoing treatment following an alleged attack by CPI(M) workers.
The BJP President alleged that the Left party was promoting politics of violence to ensure its existence, and the Congress in the state is providing an umbrella to the violence of CPI(M). CPI(M),which is facing its downfall, is attempting to come back through violence, Amit Shah told reporters, adding that BJP would reply to it through votes.
The BJP chief spent about an hour at the hospital, where he met the relatives of the persons who were injured in the alleged attack by CPI-M workers at Kattayikonam near here. Of the three undergoing treatment, the condition of Amal Krishna (23) was said to be serious. Former Kerala state BJP president V Muraleedharan was among 16 persons injured in the clash between workers of the party and CPI-M at Kattayikonam on March 14.
