Kottayam | Prominent comedian and proponent of comedy-oriented Kathaaprasangam, VD Rajappan (70), died at a private hospital here Thursday.
He is survived by wife Sulochana, who is a retired nurse, and two sons. He has been suffering from multiple ailments in recent years.
Rajappan enthralled audiences with his comedy-filled stage performances for three decades. He was popular with his Kathaaprasangam featuring pets, creatures and vehicles as characters.
He acted in dozens of Malayalam movies, and wrote parody songs for many films.
