Yes, Jayasurya the versatile actor in Mollywood is indeed happy to have his name featured along with that of great actors like Amitabh Bachan and Kangana in the 63rd National Film Awards. “I feel extremely happy. It’s a great thing. I find it as an award for Malayalam cinema.
I can’t find words to describe my happiness. It is a proud moment to see my name along with legends Amitabh Bachchan and many others”. Jayasurya is cheerful.
The journey from a local television anchor to a popular star was not an easy path for an actor like Jayasurya as he comes from an ordinary family. This special jury mention is the reply for his dedication and determination towards his profession.
While sitting in a hotel room in Wayanad, the actor shared his happiness for receiving the award. ” I was in the location set of the film ‘School Bus’ directed by Roshan Andrews, when I knew my name too was included with the one and only Big B”, like always Jayasurya started to say in his own style.
” Many times, I have heard my name in award list and I have got many awards, but this is the first time that I am getting national level recognition with Amitab Bachan and Kangana. I could believe this only when the news started flashing on television channels. It is heard that the competition was tight. Of course, this is like an Oscar for me and this is an award for the entire Malayalam film industry”.
We can desire, but can’t expect. When the desire paves the way to expectation and it becomes a reality, there is nothing beyond that. That was what happened in Jayasurya’s case. The actor conveyed his immense gratitude to his viewers through Facebook.
” I don’t know how to express my overwhelmed happiness and gratitude. It is like a dream came true. The dream will become a reality, if we have sincerest desire. I am the best example of that”. The actor expressed his emotions through a video post.
Jayasurya, has undoubtedly made a great achievement, by competing with Amitabh Bachchan, for the Best Actor trophy in the final round of national Awards. The actor considers it as the greatest honour.
“My viewers are my strength. Through mimicry I came to the film world. And I have obligation to many, who gave me a chance to prove myself as an actor. I have tasted the sweetness of victory and bitterness of failure. I owe to those, who gave me good roles to act”, Mollywood’s own Jayasurya says.
He debuted in a lead role with ‘Oomappenninu Uriyadappayyan’ in 2002 playing a speech and hearing impaired youngster and since then made his name in Mollywood.
