New Delhi | Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has postponed his return from New Delhi to Kerala at the last minute.
Chandy, who is in New Delhi for talks with the Congress High Command on finalizing its candidates for the upcoming Assembly polls, was scheduled to return home Wednesday.
The Chief Minister, who reached the Delhi airport in the morning, returned back to Kerala House. While the official version is that the CM returned to Kerala House as the Kerala-bound plane was lagging behind scheduled take-off, sources say he is staying back as dispute over a few seats have not yet resolved.
Rahul Gandhi is in the capital. Oommen Chandy is likely to hold talks with him and screening committee members — Deepak Babria, Mallikarjun Kharge and Mukul Wasnik.
The screening committee is convening tomorrow.
KPCC president V.M. Sudheeran’s firm stand against giving seats to four sitting MLAs, including three ministers — K. Babu, Adoor Prakash and K.C. Joseph – has resulted in a deadlock in publishing the final list.
