Muvattupuzha: Vigilance court here has ordered a quick verification against Revenue Minister Adoor Prakash in the land deal case involving Santhosh Madhavan.

Considering a petition filed by Girish babu from Kalamassery on Wednesday, the court has also ordered quick verification against four others, including Revenue Principal Secretary Vishwas Mehta and the controversial sanyasi Santhosh Madhavan.

The petitioner had sought investigation against Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, but the court rejected it.

The report should be submitted before the court within 15 days, the court said.

The Revenue Department had returned 118 acres of government-owned surplus land in Paravoor, Puthenvelikkara, and Mala to RMZ, a company owned by Santhosh Madhavan. But when this move triggered controversy, the government was forced to repeal the order.
