Kochi | Opposition leader V S Achuthanandhan has demanded that the police register a case against chief minister Oommen Chandy and comprehensively probe allegations made by Sarita S Nair in her original letter that she was sexually abused by the CM.
The Chief Minister, who misused his official post, must be brought before the law, VS said at a news conference here Monday.
Sunday, a private news channel telecast a letter allegedly written by Saritha, saying that she was sexually exploited by Oommen Chandy at Cliff House, his official residence, for doing favors for her proposed solar panel project.
The letter, prepared while she was jailed, seems to be credible, according to VS.
He called on Oommen Chandy to apologize to people of Kerala in the wake of the details of the letter.
VS said Congress High Command should not give Assembly seats to those accused in the Saritha affair. He called on the people of Kerala to boycott them.
The revelations by Saritha has Put Oommen Chandy under pressure, that is why he insisted on ensuring seats to his faithful politicians during talks in New Delhi.
Oommen Chandy has become a burden to the High Command, he said.
VS noted that AP Anilkumar, Adoor Prakash, P. Venugopal, Palani manikkam, Hybi Eden, PC Vishnunath, AP Abdullakkutty, Mons Joseph, Jose K Mani etc… were mentioned by Saritha in her letter of sexual exploitation.
“What punishment they would have got if the crime was committed in a Gulf Country,” he asked.
He vowed that there is no question of him going back in his fight against corruption.
VS said that it is now clear what Saritha meant by saying that if she exposes everything, Kerala cannot bear it.
He called on the women community of Kerala to teach a lesson to the Chief Minister and ministers who have maligned the atmosphere of the state’s public life by responding to this in this election.
KPCC President VM Sudheeran’s courage has waned, he told reporters.
VS expressed confidence that LDF Will come to power with thumping majority in the upcoming Assembly election.
