New Delhi | Public sector oil companies have hiked petrol price by Rs 2.19 a liter, and diesel by 98 paise per liter.
The new prices came into effect Tuesday.
This is the third upward revision in fuel prices since last month. Petrol price was increased by Rs. 3.07 a liter and diesel price by Rs. 1.90 a liter a fortnight ago.
Oil companies attribute the hike in prices to the rise in international crude oil prices.
