Washington | Upset over his defeat in the Wisconsin primary, Donald Trump’s campaign today called his Republican rival Ted Cruz a puppet and a Trojan horse who is being used by the party bosses attempting to steal the presidential nomination from the real estate tycoon.
Ted Cruz is worse than a puppet he is a Trojan horse, being used by the party bosses attempting to steal the nomination from Mr Trump, the Trump campaign said in a statement reflecting. Not only was he propelled by the anti-Trump Super PAC’s (political action committee) spending countless millions of dollars on false advertising against Mr Trump, but he was coordinating with his own Super PAC’s (which is illegal) who totally control him, the statement said.
The Trump Campaign exuded confidence Trump, 69, would go on to win in New York, where he holds a substantial lead in all the polls, and beyond. Mr Trump is the only candidate who can secure the delegates needed to win the Republican nomination and ultimately defeat Hillary Clinton, or whomever is the Democratic nominee, in order to Make America Great Again, the campaign said.
The Cruz Campaign was quick to dismiss the angry statement coming out from the Trump campaign. Donald Trump has a real problem when he gets his tail kicked and thats exactly what happened tonight, he said. We are not gonna spend our time worrying about Donald, we are going to spend our time worrying about our campaign, our message, we are going to keep going ahead, Miller said.
