Thiruvananthapuram| Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has submitted his resignation a day after the Congress-led UDF suffered a major set back in the Assembly polls.
The Chief Minister visited Governor Sadasivam at Rajbhavan Friday morning, and handed him the letter of resignation.
Oommen Chandy said he will vacate his official residence today and shift to his residence in Jagati.
He said he will say goodbye to his personal staff next, and to the employees of the secretariat at 3 pm.
He will continue as care taker Chief Minister until his successor assumes office.
