The dollar slipped against other currencies overseas after US Federal Reserve left interest rates untouched and sustained foreign fund inflows supported the rupee, forex dealers said.
The rupee had gained 13 paise to 67.14 a dollar yesterday on sustained selling of the American currency by banks and exporters in view of persistent foreign capital inflows despite firm dollar overseas.
Meanwhile, the benchmark BSE Sensex rose by 119.99 points or 0.42 per cent to 28,144.32 points in early trade Thursday.
