Pathanamthitta | Kerala Congress Mani group left UDF. Party chairman KM Mani announced the decision after Charalkunnu meet, today. Party will stay as a special block in Kerala assembly.
The decision indicates that his party will stand on its own in Kerala politics and is to adopt equidistance policy to both LDF, UDF and NDA in Kerala.
Differences between Congress leaders and Mani cropped up during Mani’s term as finance minister in the previous UDF government.
Mani, who was then forced to resign as minister during UDF’s rule following a bribery scandal, was peeved that the front did not stand by him in his hour of crisis.
