Thiruvananthapuram | Secretariat employees will be under a keen observation of the vigilance wing of Kerala Police from now on. Vigilance Anti Corruption Bureau will take disciplinary action if any delay regarding the movement of files is noticed. And if there is intentional delay in closing any file, a case will be registered under Anti Corruption Law irrespective of the employee’s political affiliation.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has given full authority to Vigilance Director Jacob Thomas to take action to speed up the file movement in various government departments and to know the up-to-date status of the files.
In a meeting with the Chief Minister yesterday, Jacob Thomas presented a detailed report regarding the long delay in the movement of files in the secretariat. On the basis of getting lots of complaints in the above said matter, the vigilance was observing the movement of files secretly. Vigilance has found that it was the adamant political stand of the Secretariat employees behind the delay in movement of files.
