New Delhi | Wi-fi technology of state-run Centre for Development of Telematics has been approved by Indian Railways, Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha said.

“C-DoT Wi-Fi Technology got approved by Railways,” Sinha tweeted.

Most of the equipment installed in Indian telecom network are imported. Approval of C-DoT wi-fi equipment will help deployment of indigenous made gears.

“In 44th meeting of C-DoT Governing Council directed C-DoT to think about 5G. Directed C-DoT to consider recruit & retain best brains with better salary & perks,” Sinha said.
