Mumbai | “Value for Money” is the tag that can never go off the 0.8 liter Kwid although there has been a price hike in the brand. After the price of Kwid small hatch had undergone hike in the month of January 2016, the updated prices for entry level car have been revealed by the French Carmaker. The hike will now fall between Rs 3000 to Rs 6000.
In this perfect competition market where number of cars are launched every year, Kwid set a new record in 2015. Launching many cars in the same year, it has set new benchmark in the segment of small hatch. With the launch price of this segment at Rs 2.56 lacs, it became successful instantly within a very short period of time. It was though announced by ex showroom of Delhi Still Renault that the price would increase in the future which has gotten true.
The base variant of the car has been hiked at nearly Rs 3000 while the RXT variant has been hiked at nearly Rs 6000. Price rise generally means a drop in demand of a product; however, this price hike hasn’t interfered in its cost worthy proposition.
At such an affordable price Renault Kwid offers to its consumers, a spacious cabin and touchscreen navigable infotainment system, AUX and Bluetooth connectivity, 300 liters boot space and 180 mm ground clearance.
It has been claimed as one of the most fuel efficient cars in the country, with a 0.8 liters engine. It is accompanied by a powerful 799cc, 3 cylinder petrol engine producing 53.2 PS of power along with 72Nm of torque that is transmitted to the front wheel by a 5 speed manual gearbox.
