New Delhi | The body of a Delhi University student who was missing for the last two days was found in the water tank of his house in East Delhi’s Mamdawali area this evening.
Police said deceased Bhupender Chaudhary, 24, was a B Com student of Delhi University. He lived with his family at Mandawali and was missing since last two days.
He was disturbed over something for a few days and avoided questions of the his family members. He went missing from Saturday, and on Sunday his family approached police, they said.
Neighbours complained about foul smell emanating from the roof of the Chaudhary family’s house after which the water tank was opened and the bloated body of Bhupender was found inside it, said a police officer.
A police team reached the spot on a PCR call, received at 7 PM, and sent the body for post mortem examination after preliminary enquiry.
The body was handed over to the family after autopsy.
