Indian first innings ends at 318, Jadeja 42 not out

Kanpur | Indian first innings in the opening cricket Test against New Zealand here ended at 318 runs on the second day after the last wicket pair of Ravindra Jadeja and Umesh Yadav added 41 runs.

Resuming at the overnight score of 291, the pair added 27 runs more with some big hits from Jadeja. He remained not out on 42, while Yadav fell to Wagner.
