Thiruvananthapuram | CPI state executive on Monday recommended that disciplinary action be taken against party MLA E S Bijimol for her alleged anti-party remarks.
The firebrand woman leader who is a two-time MLA from Peermedu in Idukki district had courted controversy with her reported remark that she was not made a minister in the LDF ministry as she did not have any “godfather” in the party.
She reportedly made the observation during an interview to a magazine after the state assembly polls in May.
The state executive, who met here on Monday, recommended that Bijimol be removed from the party state council, party sources said.
The two-day party state council, to be held at Alappuzha from tomorrow, would take a final decision on the matter.
Party General Secretary S Sudhakar Reddy would also attend the meet, the sources added.
