New Delhi | American cult bike maker Harley-Davidson today launched two new motorcycles Roadster and Road Glide Special in India priced at Rs 9.7 lakh and Rs 32.81 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively, while announcing its fresh model line-up for 2017.

With the Road Glide Special, the company also introduced its all-new Milwaukee-Eight engine — the ninth edition of the Big Twin since its inception, which is also the most powerful collection of cruisers in the brand’s 113 year history.

“Our latest offerings demonstrate Harley-Davidson’s unwavering commitment to delivering world-class products that cater to our customers’ demands in India and reinforce our position as the leader in the premium motorcycle segment,” Harley-Davidson India Managing Director Vikram Pawah said.

He further said the introduction of the Milwaukee-Eight engine in the Touring lineup is a direct response “to the voice of Harley-Davidson customers around the world and we are thrilled to bring the same to India”.

Besides, the company also launched ABS equipped Street 750 Motorcycle priced at Rs 4.91 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which now comes with a new tank badge and optional two-tone schemes.
With this, Harley-Davidson India said all the 2017 edition of the 13 models it sells in India will now be equipped with anti-lock braking system (ABS).

Besides, the Roadster will be assembled at the company’s plant in Bawal, Haryana.
The company is offering the Milwaukee-Eight engines in two displacements and two variations.

The 1,645 cc Milwaukee-Eight engine featuring precision oil-cooled cylinder heads will be available with the Street Glide Special, Road Glide Special and Road King models.

Another variant, 1,870 cc Milwaukee-Eight engine featuring liquid-cooled cylinder head will be offered in the CVO Limited model.
