Ranji: Kerala struggling on third day; 123-5 at lunch

Surat | Kerala’s attempts to gain a crucial first innings lead in the Ranji Trophy quarter final match looks in jeopardy as they lost three top order wickets in the morning session of the third day’s play at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium here.

At lunch, the visitors were reeling at 123 for 5, still behind by 123 runs.

Resuming at 32 for two on Saturday, Kerala lost the wickets of Rohan Prem (29), Jalaj Saxena (40) and Sanju Samson (32).

They were building up the innings when the 47-run third wicket partnership was broken by Karn Sharma and 44-run fourth wicket fight brought to an end by Sarwate.

Captain Sachin Baby (3) and Arun Karthik (4) were batting when the lunch was taken.
